- 5 / 5By Hannah DysonBooked the private dining room for a family gathering to celebrate my parents Golden Wedding anniversary. The room is beautiful and the service was impeccable. I had never been to Gilbeys before as we don't live in Amersham so was a bit nervous that the party menu would be of a lesser quality but these fears were unfounded and the food and wine was outstanding.
Please note the private dining room is accessed by a narrow staircase and the toilets are downstairs- there is no way round this though I am sure as the building is so old. We were informed of the staircase prior to booking.
I would highly recommend booking this dining room for special get togethers and I loved the pheasant ridge bacchus dry white wine (as you can see from the bill a fair few bottles were consumed!). Can this be bought anywhere online??
